You may cite the work of others, but you must provide the necessary citations in your writing, either as a footnote or to acknowledge the writer and the source in your writing. In General you should aim your work to a potential non-expert listener who goes to a concert and hopes to be able to understand and follow the work in question and gain something from its hearing. You may gather information from JSTOR, or OPENATHENS as well as the Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, and other sources from the internet, not limited to programme notes from various Orchestras, and online analysis. You may find scores at imslp and listen to music on YouTube.
